IEEE WCNC2016 Call For Workshops Proposals


The 2016 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC) is the premier event for wireless communications researchers, industry professionals, and academics interested in the latest development and design of wireless systems and networks. Sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, IEEE WCNC has a long history of bringing together industry, academia, and regulatory bodies. In 2016, IEEE WCNC will be held in the beautiful city of Doha, Qatar between 3 and 6 of April 2016. The conference will feature a comprehensive technical program, including technical sessions, tutorials, workshops, and technology and business panels.

Organization and Submission Procedure

According to IEEE Communications Society guidelines, workshops should emphasize current topics of particular interest, and should include a mix of regular papers, invited presentations and panels that encourage the participation of attendees in active discussions. Accepted workshops will implement ComSoc's academic best-practices; particularly regarding peer-reviews and paper publication. Papers will be added to IEEE Xplore and the Conference Proceedings.

Workshop proposals acceptance notifications sent to authors 


Each workshop proposal must include:
· Title of the workshop · Planned format of the workshop, such as number of refereed papers, hot topic sessions, keynotes, panels etc.
· Length of the workshop: half-day or full-day · If appropriate, a description of past versions of the workshop, including number of submitted and accepted papers, number of attendees, etc.
· Names, addresses, and a short CV (up to 200 words) of the organizers · A description of the publicity and promotion plan
· A brief description (one page in maximum) · A draft call for papers of the technical issues that the workshop will address, emphasizing its timeliness
· Names of potential participants, such as program committee members and invited speakers, etc. · The workshop website address (if available at the time of the proposal - will be required later if the workshop proposal is accepted)
